Pop singer Ke$ha swung by the Wendy Williams show today and the up and coming singer/rapper/autotune aficionado has ended Susan Boyle’s six-week run at the top of the US album charts. The 22-year-old singer has knocked Boyle, 48, off the top of the charts after her album, Animal, sold 59,000 more copies than Boyle’s debut album, I Dreamed A Dream.
A whopping 76 per cent of Ke$ha’s album sales came from digital download stores, according to reports. Her debut single “Tik Tok” broke download records for a female singer in America, when it was released in the US last year.
The top three albums in the US charts are all by female artists – Lady Gaga’s album The Fame is at number three with Boyle’s album taking the second top spot.
