There was plenty of glamour and elegance on the red carpet of the Oscars this year, but we couldn’t help but notice a few stand-out stars who took some fashion risks.
Emma Stone became the talk of the carpet when she took a big bow of a chance on ruby red Giambattista Valli gown. The unique piece is reminiscent of a dress Charlize Theron wore to the Academy Awards in 2006! Daring, yet we say, a win!
Presenter Gwyneth Paltrow looked stately in a long white gown by Tom Ford. Her matching floor-length coat appeared looked elegant and conveniently warm!
Shailene Woodley also wore white for the evening, but she went against the grain and covered up in a long sleeved Valentino gown with a high neck. Though we admire her individuality and modesty, we must say this dress ages the actress far beyond her 20 years.
In far contrast, Jennifer Lopez vamped up her look in a revealing Zuhair Murad dress. For not being nominated for anything, JLO made sure she still took center stage!
Finally, French actress Bernice Bejo chose a mint green gown for her debut at the Oscars. The contrast with her vivid red hair is marvelous!
