Russell Brand is reportedly planning a party to celebrate being sober for ten years and is thought to have invited Katy Perry’s parents.

The Daily Star has reported that the British comedian is arranging the lavish event at his LA home to mark the occasion.

It’s alleged that the Get Him To The Greek star invited his ex-wife’s parents because they have helped him over the years.

A source told the paper that the guest list will include people from the recovery center he attended in London, close friends and family.

It’s thought Russell is still in contact with Katy’s parents and that he will personally arrange to fly his guests over to California.

The actor was spotted out in West Hollywood last night and was snapped as he headed back to his SUV.

Katy Perry is set to celebrate her second wedding anniversary in an unusual way – by organising a divorce party.

It’s reported that the California Girls singer is not doing it to spite British ex-husband Russell Brand, but that she’s planning the bash to make sure the build-up to her birthday isn’t depressing.

A source told The Sun that since her birthday is two days after the anniversary, Katy is trying to think of ways to turn it into something positive.

Although friends have been trying to get the 27-year-old to go to Vegas for a few days, the singer has reportedly decided to have a small gathering at her home.

We wonder how Russell will spend the day. He was spotted with a mystery woman in a VIP section of a Vancouver club last night after his standup show.

Comedian Russell Brand ditched the luxurious lavishness of Hollywood to take a few homeless pals out for breakfast in Tinsel Town. Wearing a blood style design t-shirt he looked like he could have just finished a night shift as a butcher while strolling to the Newsroom cafe.

Former Mr. Katy Perry was in a good mood too, singing and joking.

It’s not often a star begins their day by helping out the needy. Russell later dropped his mates off in a parking lot, gave them a hug and got back to celeb business.

No not Russell Brand, were talking about Florence and the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd.

Our Splash cameras caught the pair as they left the Market Café Pub in East London.

The duo first went public with their romance at the Coachella Festival in California, but they split in May.

We hope that they work things out, Rob better not let Katy be the one that gets away…again!

Russell Brand wants nothing to do with the $6.5 million home the former couple bought during their brief marriage.

Russell just filed a quitclaim brief in LA, leaving Katy with full rights to the house.

Russell also doesn’t want a penny of Katy’s money, though he would be entitled to half under California law because they failed to sign a pre-nuptial agreement.

Nope it seems all Russell wants is a clean and amicable break.

Can’t argue with that!
