Rumors continue to swirl about Ashley Judd and that possible senate seat

Ashley Judd still might be interested in that senate seat.

Ashley Judd could have been anything she wanted. She could have followed in the footsteps of her mom and sister and been sitting on the porch of that music video singing, Mama He’s Crazy, also. Lucky for us she ended up on the silver screen and taught the masses that if you’re framed for your husband’s murder only to find out he actually faked his death, you can always spring from prison and find Tommy Lee Jones to seek revenge.

That’s an obligatory Double Jeopardy reference from 1999 kiddos.

But now it seems Ashley Judd has her eyes set on something else: a U.S Senate seat representing the state of Kentucky. That’s right folks. Politics.

While the rumors are starting to gain traction, it’s still unconfirmed, but we’re learning that she’s already taking a lot of the necessary steps any proper candidate would take.

Do we line up the dots and get ready to plant a “Go Ashley Go” placard in our front lawns?

Standby.

Brad Pitt’s Mother Pens Anti-Obama, Anti-Gay Letter

William Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jane Pitt and Brad Pitt

While Brad Pitt has said that he is a supporter of President Obama and his pro-gay rights social stance, Brad’s mom Jane Pitt apparently doesn’t see eye to eye with the A-list actor.
The grandmother of the Jolie-Pitt kids reportedly penned an opinionated letter to Missouri’s Springfield News-Leader that bashes president Obama for his liberal beliefs and supports republican nominee Mitt Romney.
Jane Pitt, a Christian, describes Obama as quote: “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”
Brad and fiancé Angelina Jolie once famously announced that they wouldn’t tie the knot until all couples were allowed to – including Gay and Lesbian couples.
Brad even showed his support of the gay community by starring in a play about gay rights and controversial legislation prop 8.
Evidently not all Pitt’s think alike!
Good thing blood is thicker than water… Or religious and political beliefs….
Brad has said that despite media depictions, his mother is very loving, open and genuine.
Just as long as she is a good grandma!

Stars Mixing Entertainment and Political Careers

damonpics

Here’s Matt Damon in Washington DC mixing his
celebrity with politics, showing support at the “Save Our Schools” rally for
education.

But when he says things like, “it’s criminal that so little is asked of
people that are getting so much. I don’t mind paying more taxes.”

That has guys like Michael Moore endorsing Damon
to make the switch from the film set, to the White House.

“This is the greatest country in the world,
is it that much worse if you pay six percent more on taxes, look at what you
get for it. You get to be American,” said Damon.

Ok, so he’s patriotic, has an agenda, does he
attack the issues?

A reporter asked Damon about tenure, a sensitive topic among educators, prompting the actor to respond, “see you take this MBA style thinking, it’s
the problem the education policy right now. with intrinsically paternalistic
way of thinking.”

We’re not sure what intrinsically paternalistic
means… but… dem apples, how about em?

Damon certainly wouldn’t be the first movie star
to venture from on-screen action to campaign trails… But Governator’s aside…
Here are some other favorite celebrities who could be inviting the likes of Tom
Hanks and Stevie Wonder to their birthday parties at the White House
someday.

Alec Baldwin reportedly wants to move from
30-Rock
to the Mayor’s mansion in New York City.

Kelsey Grammer told the New York Post that he
might look to politics after his acting career because he hopes to do some good
deeds.

Even Kal Penn from Harold and Kumar skipped
White Castle to go to the White House to work for President Obama as a liaison
with Asian American and Pacific Islander communities.

And in years past, celebrities like Jerry
Springer, Jessie Ventura, and Clint Eastwood have all held political office in
various states.

Celebrities and politics shouldn’t always mix,
but something tells us that they always will.

George Talks Sex And Drugs

George Clooney

Sex, drugs…

And then some.

George Clooney gets candid
opening up about his past admitting he
“f*ucked

too many chicks and did too
many drugs” to ever run for office.

Gorgeous George, who has been considered as a possible Democratic candidate for his involvement in politics, has taken a strong stance on gun control and the war Stateside.

And uses his star power to raise awareness for human rights all over the world.

The actor jokes that if he were to run his campaign slogan would be “I drank the bong water.”

Which sounds kinda gross.

For
now, it seems like the actor is fine satisfying his political dreams on the big
screen starring in The Ides of March—which he co-wrote and directed—playing a corrupt governor running
for President of the United States.
