It looks like things are getting back to normal for Michael Douglas, who is already set to get back to work.
The 66-year-old actor, who has just completed an eight-week course of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with throat cancer, will be playing Liberace in a biopic about the iconic entertainer.
“I’ve got a bunch of tapes of performances,” he said. “I’m thinking. I’m a blank slate.”
A blank slate that has his work cut out for him…
Before filming begins in either May or June of next year, Douglas will be taking piano and singing lessons to prepare for the role.
Luckily, the star is feeling strong.
Not only is he eating solid foods again, fans will be grateful to know his distinctly sexy voice was not affected by the treatment.
A voice he’ll surely need to take on Liberace.
