Why Does Robert Pattinson Think He’s a Royal?

Anyone within 5 miles of Robert Pattinson’s Twilight fans could probably be forgiven for thinking they were in the presence of royalty.

And now RPattz has given his own explanation about why there is so much interest in his love life.

The Twilight actor has suggested that he is seen as royalty because “America really wants to have a royal family”.

Talking to David Carr at the TimesTalk event in New York, the 26-year-old actor said, “you want to have a democratic royal family. It’s a meritocratic version of it, sort of, actually, no it’s not at all”.

Rob must be getting used to dodging questions about the status of his relationship with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart as he promotes new film Cosmopolis.

Kristen, on the other hand, is still in hiding.

She was noticeably absent from the London premiere of new film On The Road last night and it’s rumored she has pulled out of MTV’s Video Music Awards, at which she was due to appear alongside Rob.

Robert Pattinson is all over New York City promoting his new movie, Cosmopolis… But in the city that never sleeps, he’s the actor that never talks…

Everyone just wants him to spill his guts about Kristen Stewart publicly cheating on him with a 41-year-old, married director.

But Pattinson tells Good Morning America he’s “Never been interested in selling his personal life.” Which he also made clear by dodging intimate questions on the Daily Show.

Fortunately, it’s still Robert Pattinson… So whether he hits the streets looking as suave as James Dean… Shoots the lights out in a hoodie… Or rings everyone’s bell at the New York City Stock Exchange…

His fans are clearly still investing in him.

Looks like his stock is fine… But he’s not giving away any “shares.”

The Twilight hunk put his best face forward on The Daily Show, his first interview since his split from Kristen Stewart and today he smiled for the cameras again as he kicked of the day’s trading.

After meeting mixed reviews at the Cannes film festival it’s not surprising that she’d stick up for her love of three years and Twilight co-star.

Her words on MTV were few but heartfelt saying, “He’s so good in it!, He’s really, really, I don’t even know how he, I couldn’t even understand it. It’s so good, it’s so cool, I’m so proud of him.”

Hey you should be proud of yourself too lady. Her new movie Snow White and The Huntsman was screened to well rounded reviews from the critics.

Looks like it’s gonna take more than a wicked witch or a bunch of werewolves to bring these two down.

In fact Kristens already committed to a sequel of Snow White telling E! Online that she’d do it in a heartbeat.

Robert Pattinson set tongues wagging, not for the photo call
of his latest movie Cosmopolis, but because he’s been linked with a surprise
role in the new Hunger Games movie, Catching Fire.

Think McFly Think say they’ve got the skinny on casting for
the next two Hunger Games movies and that RPattz is up there to play the super
handsome Finnick Odair, who won the games aged just 14.

Finnick encounters Katniss Everdeen played by Jennifer
Lawrence during some hairy scenes in the second installment and is a key
character.

Should he accept the role he’ll be back under the helm of
Water For Elephants director Francis Lawrence.

But for now Robert will be focusing on his time at the Canne
Film festival and Cosmopolis, the movie about a millionaire who’s Manhattan
trip to get a haircut leads to a life changing sequence of events.

Other actors on the sequel wish list are Zac Efron, Chace
Crawford and Twilight co-star Kellan Lutz.
