Jessica Simpson has declared she always dreamed of making a country album, so it must have been hard hitting to find herself being booed as she made her music debut at the Country Thunder USA Festival in Randall, Wisconsin.
The crowds didn't hold back in showing their disapproval as the singer-turned-actress took to the stage on Saturday. Despite a set that included country covers, Willie Nelson's On the Road Again and Shania Twain's Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, she failed to win over the audience.
Many concert-goers said she just didn't fit in. The newspaper's music critic said: "Many audience members found her attempt to crossover into country irritating and that her vocals lacked a southern sound."
Jessica, 28, announced plans earlier this year to release a country album - despite being better known as a pop star.

Sometimes it's the fans who grab the best shots of their favorite celebrities! And this fantastic pic of Jessica Simpson and boyfriend Tony Romo is perfect proof of that. This lucky practicing papster snapped the happy couple as they enjoyed an intimate dinner with the football star's parents on June 27.
The group met up at an Olive Garden restaurant in Janesville, Wisconsin, where Romo was staying to play in a golf competition. The dedicated fan also revealed that the couple walked into the restaurant holding hands but left by sneaking through the kitchen. Well, who wants to pose for pictures twice huh?

Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo caused mayhem as they rocked out at a Key Club concert last night. Photographers appeared uncontrollable as they had a hard time with the bouncers. One pap even spits on Jessica's suv window, which is totally totally uncalled for.

We may have been pretty skeptical about Jessica's New York ensemble-- she may be a fashion maven-slash-designer, but I think it has more to do with what's underneath-- but this post-flight ensemble leaves much to be desired. At least her escort didn't
look like he was trying to get fresh this time.
Jessica arrived in New York from Dallas for a schedule jam-packed with meetings and schmoozing.

Jessica Simpson took some time to chill in New York after a busy business day. After not one, but two questionable NYC outfits, Jessica finally looked just perfect when we caught her out last night looking giggly, possibly embarrassed, and certainly confused. Imagine what it would be like to get inside Jessica's mind for the day!
Jessica left Nobu with her friends and family in downtown New York yesterday.

The chauffeur had his own special way to help Jessica get out of the car
Jessica Simpson has been keeping herself busy by attending meetings in a Midtown office in the fashion district of Manhattan. The singer has been staying in a hotel in New York.
I'm surprised the fashion police even allowed Jessica into the fashion district, black jacket, green bag, denim skirt and black/red/brown shoes all jumbled together? At least my sweat pants have co-ordinated food stains on them. Still, at least her legs look smooth enough to roll a cigar on, should the music thing not work out for her...
