Newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon made their first public appearance as a married couple last night. On a warm evening, the air was notably full of amore and smiles as the happy couple beamed with obvious delight while departing the Waverly Inn in NYC.

In a cute strapless black dress, Mariah looked a fraction of her 38 years, and her dazzling wedding ring certainly added an extra shine to the diva too! Nick Cannon appeared to be an equally loved up groom, as he clung to Mariah's toned waist and hand. 

The duo married last week in the Bahamas, reportedly with a dozen or so guests. It was a whirlwind romance that grew after the soul singer cast Nick in her latest video "Bye Bye". Lets just hope this is one to last and Mariah will not be saying goodbye to her new man anytime soon.

As Britney Spears headed out last night on a rare evening of socialising, she continued to prove to the waiting media that she is changed, or at the very least, a changing woman. The pop star, who had visited the gym earlier in the day, showed off her figure in a pretty floral dress and a leather jacket as she dined with two friends in West Hollywood. 

As Britney left the plush Sur restaurant, she maturely chose to leave out the back door, showing the paps that she no longer needs the photographers to be the centre of her world. As Spears kept her head down and headed straight for her car everyone also noted that the singer's hair extensions were looking better than ever!

DMX was arrested for speeding after highway cameras clocked him doing 114 in a 65 miles per hour zone driving a 1966 Chevy Nova II with a suspended license. Police finally arrested the rapper, real name Earl Simmons, at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona three months after the alleged incident took place.

Doing 40 mph over the speed limit? Dumb. Driving with a suspended license? Idiotic. But doing it with your name emblazoned across your windshield so everyone knows it's you?

Priceless.

So much for that "just friends" business. We spotted Rihanna and Chris Brown kissing at  a Miami, Florida KFC last night.

I gotta say I like Chris' style. None of that 5-star celebrity chic restaurant business. Why blow a couple grand on Crystal and caviar when you can get in her pants with a $1 Chicken Snacker.
