Brother and sister singing team Donny and Marie Osmond appeared on "Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series" and performed live for a crowd in New York. Even though he is now 50 years old, Donny chose a typical pop rock ensemble of black jacket and sweater with blue jeans and wasn't shy to flash those famous pearly white teeth!

Marie, who is slightly younger than Donny at 48 years old, decided to dress up with a bit more color, adding a leather jacket as part of the rock package. Donny and Marie had a hit variety show which ran from 1976 to 1979 and also hosted a chat show, also called "Donny & Marie", from 1998-2000.

The Osmonds musical group, which featured both Donny and Marie at various stages, had hits with "One Bad Apple", "Crazy Horses" and "Yo-Yo".

"Rehab" singer Amy Winehouse shows pretty impressive powers of recovery considering she looked like death warmed up in our last post about her. The young star was spotted buying cigarettes and a newspaper before she headed off to prepare for this weekend's music festivals (the V Festival at Chelmsford and South Staffordshire). Amy, who scored a worldwide hit with "Back To Black", was wearing a pink skirt and a white vest, with her favorite red bra peeking through.

Amy has been back in the recording studio, and is believed to be working on a forthcoming album with Mark Ronson. Superstar George Michael has apparently written a track to duet with her and she is interested in working with Damian Marley, the son of the legendary reggae artist Bob Marley. The future is looking bright and busy for Amy Winehouse.

Low Ink Studio has come with an interesting way to try and help smokers quit their habit. The designers have come up with a small box that can fit a single cigarette and match, in the shape of a coffin! Spanish-based artist Didac Catalan came up with the idea with the hope that he could market the product to people who find that a nicotine patch is just not enough to keep them off cigarettes.

However, even cigarettes arriving in boxes in the shape of coffins probably won't put off most celebrity smokers. As you can see in our gallery, "Parent Trap" and "Mean Girls" star Lindsay Lohan was so desperate for a cigarette that she had to light one up outside LAX terminal and puff herself back to happiness.

In another example of vultures circling a corpse, more rumors regarding Madonna and Guy Ritchie have surfaced. Wendy Leigh, a writer who helped Christopher Ciccone with his book "Life With My Sister Madonna", has claimed she knew about letters and emails from Madonna to her brother stating the "Material Girl's" reservations to marriage and then later, regarding a separation the couple went through in 2003, which was apparently Ritchie's suggestion. Wendy Leigh was talking to Fox News celebrity columnist Roger Friedman. Wendy could not state anything specific from the letters, as it is illegal to quote from them. 

I think it is a shame Madonna, pictured here looking striking in orange and rather muscular with her husband, director Guy Ritchie, has to put up with all the rumors and claims made by people cashing in on her immense fame. If her marriage with Ritchie is on the rocks, then people should give them a chance to reconciliate or at least break up with dignity. Madonna will be celebrating her 50th birthday tomorrow and Splash News wishes her a Happy Birthday!

Anna Kournikova, the sexy tennis player pictured on the September 2008 issue of Maxim in a gold bikini which leaves little to the imagination, has stated that she has never married partner Enrique Iglesias. The Russian athlete, who won the Australian Open doubles championship twice, said that when she filled out forms, she put her status as "single". There has been much rumor about Kournikova and Iglesias marrying and separating.

Kournikova also went on to tell Maxim about lesbianism on the women's tennis tour, saying "It was very open. Obviously, there are lesbian players and it's no secret. It's a personal choice about how you are going to live your life and that's it. As long as somebody doesn't push their views on you? Cool, good luck".

The tennis star spends a lot of time on the celebrity circuit thanks to her good looks and sexy figure. She also starred in the 2002 music video for "Escape" by Enrique Iglesias, which brought the couple together. Check out our gallery to see pictures of Kournikova at a press conference.
