Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is suing the French Magazine Closer for publishing topless photographs of her while on vacation in a secluded retreat with Prince William.
The pictures have hit the stands in France and no doubt proved popular, however the breach of privacy has erupted fury within the British royal camp.
The Royal Family had already made the threat to sue, and even though we don’t yet know where the lawsuit has been filed, they’ve stayed true to their words.
The pics were allegedly touted to British papers last week but they all turned them down. Once the pics went public, the statement from the palace called the invasion of privacy “grotesque and totally unjustifiable”.
Closer magazine editor defended showing the pics saying, “These photos are not in the least shocking. They show a young woman sunbathing topless, like the millions of women you see on beaches.”
Kinda makes you wonder why they’d then use the obviously shocking headline “Oh My God”
The editor also admitted that there were even more intimate shots they decided not to publish. Looks like the damage has already been done.
