Looks like the old rivalry is back!

Simon Cowell is supposedly fuming at NBC for a tactical move that could potentially send the X Factor premiere into a ratings dive.

NBC added a new date for The Voice, to now clash with Cowell’s X Factor opener, and it seems that’s crossed the line.

He told TMZ he thought he had a gentleman’s agreement allowing fans to watch both saying, “These guys have really got it in for us. It’s nothing short of dirty tricks”

If it’s rivalry you want, well it doesn’t get much bigger than X Factor judge Britney Spears and The Voice judge Christina Aguilera whose healthy competitive streak supposedly goes back years to when they were in the Mickey Mouse Club.

It’s Simon however who is stoking the fire the most as he recently directed a couple of X Factor rejects to audition for The Voice.

Seems like NBC are feeling pretty confident in the move, only the fans will be the true deciding voice or is that deciding factor? Oh you decide.
