Alicia Silverstone, who first came to fame in the 90′s for her role as the ditzy Cher Horowitz in the movie Clueless, honored one of her musical heroines last night. She gave a heartwarming speech on Alanis Morissette as the musician was inducted into the rock walk complete with handprints and signature.

Morissette shot to fame, not unlike Silverstone at the tender age of 21 with the album Jagged Little Pill. The album sold 33 million copies worldwide and has secured the singer a place in rock history.

Silverstone spoke about how she discovered Alanis Morissette just after Clueless had come out and how it became the soundtrack of her life.

Silverstone also drew comparisons between Morissette and herself and how both their artistic endeavors had appealed to a younger generation.

Both ladies looked very elegant at the event. Alanis stood out in a bright blue floral top and black leather trousers, just the outfit for sticking your hands in cement!

Silverstone stood in grey and black. She had a black jacket, a silver butterfly motif top and peephole black shoes.

Both the stars were perfectly coordinated with their Rock Walk surroundings!
