She is currently one of music’s best selling acts, however according to a new biography, Adele hasn’t risen to the top without a number a personal difficulties.

According to ‘Adele: The Biography’ the soul singing diva was once close to rolling in the deep with alcohol abuse.

In the biography the Grammy winner is said to have recounted an incident where she became so intoxicated before a performance that she forgot lyrics to her own songs.

The book also details a failed relationship that supposedly fueled her alcohol dependence.

Luckily, it has also been said that Adele has since been able to get her problem under control!
