Making their American television debut, the British boy band One Direction captured the hearts of many young girls, with their performance on the Today show.

Hundreds of adoring, screaming fans, blanketed New York’s Rockefeller Plaza, with signs and cameras as the boys performed three hit songs.

The 5 member band rose to fame on the British version of the X Factor, they had originally entered the show as solo artist, but were formed into a group by Simon Cowell.

And now they are being dubbed as the next Beatles in America, keep it up boys!
