So this is Paul Potts, the cell phone salesman who won UK game-show Britain’s got Talent by wowing Simon Cowell with his amazing opera tones a few years back. Now Hollywood producers have approached Katy about playing his wife in a new movie about his life.

According to the NY Post Katy responded to the offer at a pre-Oscars party with “I love a challenge”.

If in the end she can’t fill the role then it turns out the producers also spoke to Adele.

Is it just us, or shouldn’t they be trying to find a singer to play Paul rather than his wife?
