As the world mourns, a mound of flowers lay on top of pop legend Whitney Houston’s final resting place.
The iconic pop singer was laid to rest, right next to her father John Russell Houston Jr., in a private ceremony at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey.
Her body was brought to the cemetery in a golden hearse, media and fans gathered outside of the funeral home with some reportedly shouting ‘we love you Whitney’, as the hearse slowly passed.
This was quite different from Whitney’s much larger star-studded funeral service, which celebrated the diva’s all-too-short life.
The 48-year-old singer, whose voice captivated and uplifted millions, died February 11th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
