Stan Lee has been a Marvel when creating the world’s most famous comic books, but how does the 88-year-old native New Yorker feel that his famous American heroes like like Superman, Spiderman, and Thor are being played by foreign actors?

Our photographers caught up with him at LAX in Los Angeles to ask, and the comic book creator thinks “they’re great.”

So with the UK raised Andrew Garfield playing the Amazing Spider Man, British born actor Henry Cavill playing Superman, and Tom Hiddleston in Thor, these Europeans have received a blessing from the comic king himself to be considered true Hero-peans.

And with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, the caped casting has traveled all the way Down Under.

But Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson ensure that there are still some Americans on The Avengers.
