Chris Brown said he’s sorry to the staff and onlookers who may have been startled by his behavior backstage at Good Morning America, which allegedly resulted in a broken window. 

But he maintains that he felt cornered by ABC News and he was only there to talk about his new album, so when Robin Roberts asked him questions about his 2009 assault on Rihanna, Brown felt exploited. 

Although he doesn’t go as far as to admit to actually causing window damage, he admits he wanted to let off steam backstage, but never wanted to hurt anyone and says he’s disappointed in his actions. 

Maybe letting off all that steam is why he felt like he had to leave GMA with his shirt off.
