Leonardo DiCaprio will be infiltrating the FBI on screen. The actor has been confirmed to play J. Edgar Hoover in Clint Eastwood’s new biopic about the complicated and mysterious head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The film will take a deep look into the behind-the-scenes life of Hoover, who spent almost four decades as the FBI’s frontrunner. The historical figure, who died in 1972, was also a man mixed up in a variety of secret and interesting lifestyles.
The Academy Award winning director has yet to work with DiCaprio, but will put him in a challenging acting position that will explore the problems, complexities, and issues associated with the iconic figure.
Eastwood said he believes this will be a great role for DiCaprio.
