Cowell bought himself a black Ferrari for his birthday, probably expecting
nothing would sell it short. Yet for a birthday surprise, Cowell discovered the
largest gifts aren’t always what makes the most lavish impression.=

A trio of
violin, accordion and drum toting little people were hired to ambush Cowell,
serenading the judge and producer for his 51st birthday. All three men wore
matching t-shirts saying “Happy Birthday, Love Cheryl.” The mastermind behind
the mini-musicians was Cowell’s X-Factor co-host Cheryl Cole.

The
birthday boy was not disappointed, giving a thumbs-up for Cole’s efforts as
well as the musical performance.
