Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren has said her children are getting her through her ex-husband’s cheating scandal.

It has been almost nine months since the shamed golfer’s infidelities made worldwide headlines, but the 30-year-old former model has now revealed that she felt as if her world had collapsed when the full extent of his cheating was revealed.

When asked how she felt when she first found out Woods had been unfaithful to her, Nordegren told UK magazine Hello!:

“Absolute shock and disbelief, I felt stupid as more things were revealed – how cold I have not known anything? The word betrayal is not strong enough, I felt like my whole world had fallen apart.” 

She added:

“My children are the reason I’m getting through this.” 

According to the magazine, Nordegren broke her silence because she wanted to set the record straight about how hard the experience has been for her and how she is now trying to forgive Woods.

She said:

“Forgiveness takes time. I am going to be completely honest and tell you I am working on it… And I know I will get there eventually.”
