Frosty Lily Allen Nips Out On Her Birthday!

It may be pop star Lily Allen's 23rd birthday, but that didn't stop the singer from exuding a hint of frostiness this afternoon as she greeted the paps on her doorstep. Oddly there were no complaints from our photographers, because unknown to the newbie blonde her 'chilly' mood actually raised a few smiles of her own.

Splash spied the popular singer as she left her home in east London and made her way to a cafe, but as you can see, while they snapped away it wasn't her washed out hair or her pale face the photographers noted. I wonder if she got a discount on her lunch?

Iron Lady Coming Through - Gwyneth Paltrow Strides Into Los Angeles Airport

Gwyneth Paltrow's Los Angeles stay drew to a close yesterday after noon as she left LAX airport with her bodyguard (who looked a little left behind in the crowd!). The actress has been making the Hollywood rounds in a bid to promote her new movie 'Iron Man'.

Dressed in a short black leather jacket and with a grey dress underneath, she looked actually looked like her own Iron Lady, as she silently made her way to the airport security area. Question is now, the promotion is over, will Gwyneth happily tear up her film contract and return to her slacks, or this new look here to stay?

Sex In The City Cynthia "Shocked" She Loves A Woman

Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon has confessed she was "shocked" when she fell in love with a woman. The 42-year-old actress told US chat show host Oprah Winfrey that meeting girlfriend Christine Marinoni "made [her] day", and it didn't matter whether she was a man or a woman. Both Kristin and Parker spoke postively about their fellow casts mate relationship, and Kim happily gushed abut her own:

Kristin Davis:

"Love is love, I think that's the important thing. There's something real and intangible and solid about it that you can't really dissect or analyze. That's how I feel when I'm around them."

SJP:

"We all know Cynthia so well and she's such a smart capable thinking person and our greatest concern was that Cynthia be happy. Cynthia is extremely happy and no one is better equipped to answer a question and no one knows how to be more circumspect and how to draw the line."

Kim Cattrall:

"I'm limitless as far as age is concerned as long as they have a driver's license, I don't want to pick them up. [Originally] I thought 'What could we (Alan Wyse) possibly talk about? But we talk about a lot of things and he's a professional chef so it's not just good in some areas of the house, it's good in all areas of the house."

Ashlee Simpson's Rocker Knows His Rocks!

Ashlee Simpson has shown off the engagement ring given to her by her rocker boyfriend and admitted "he did a fantastic job." The singer, who announced her engagement to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz last month, said she was shocked by how much attention they have had since they made the news public. Speaking on The Paul O'Grady Show, she said:

"It's been a bit shocking for us, we're just trying to ignore everybody and enjoy our engagement but he did a great job. Yeah, he did a fantastic job. It's pretty exciting."

She then flashed her bling ring before singing Pete's praises about his help with recording her new album. Adding, "he likes it, he's such a great supporter to me. When I was making the record he'll come in and listen, he'll put his input in or say I like this or not that and sometimes I'll take it and sometimes I'm like 'uh-uh, i like that'. He's great, he's very supportive."
