SOUL star ALICIA KEYS has bizarrely claimed the US government invented ‘gangsta rap’ to convince black people to kill each other. Keys, 27, said the violent hip-hop style was an anti-black conspiracy. The American, who has sold 25 million albums worldwide, believes the government encouraged the 1990s murders of rappers TUPAC SHAKUR and NOTORIOUS B.I.G. She told a magazine: “The murders were fueled to stop a great black leader from existing.â€Does Alicia understand who makes up a predominant part of the US government? Old white guys who are not exactly known for their understanding of the youth of today or society in general. These dudes can't even uphold The Constitution (see Guantanamo Bay), the principles this country were founded on, so forget taking the world by storm with "gangsta rap" and orchestrating the double murder of the genre's two biggest stars. Also, has she seen old white guys dance? How do you create a new genre of music that sells millions and millions of albums and look like a cadaver being electrocuted when trying to dance to it?

Violent shit was going on before gangsta rap. But look at that stats since NWA came out. I don't think that the gov. created gangsta rap... i think they sponsered it and made it a formula that alot of artists think they have to follow in order to make money.. [plus there is really another agenda in mind as well] I also dont think it was JUST the government.. the people in charge of our music industry played a much bigger role in this and deserve most of the blame.
