John Mayer loves Splash! Well, he's been more appreciative of the paparazzi in general, but that's still a step in the right direction. When we caught up with him at Club Butter in New York, he had a generous moment and ended up ordering pizza for the entire paparazzi group that was hanging outside. Hopefully other celebs take note! If anyone would like to pass a present along to me, I prefer sweets, and they can be addressed to "Editor M. at Splash" :P Do you think he was just trying to distract us? Anything's possible.

As Chris so adeptly pointed out, Hayden Panettiere has been hiding a gorgeous booty, but thanks to recent photos, she's been inducted into TBBC-- The Big Booty Club. Hayden has been looking particularly gorgeous in her clingy gowns and pencil skirts, like she was here when she arrived at the CNN Building for a taping of "Larry King Live." Hayden was happy to sign autographs for her fans outside before heading in to do her thing!

Nothing about Jessica Simpson surprises me, but I did think she was too much of a girly-girl to sleep on the floor! Jessica recently mentioned how she fights insomnia, and that's by hopping out of the bed and onto the carpet. Jessica told the New York Post about her get-to-sleep secrets:

"It's more of a mental thing. I tell myself, 'I cannot fall asleep, there's no way if I get into bed right now I'm gonna fall asleep.' I end up just laying on the floor and falling asleep. That's advice that I've gotten - don't ever get into bed until you know that it's time to go to sleep, or else you'll lay there and that's when you start tossing and turning."

This is our super-stylish Carrie? No way! Sarah Jessica Parker was playing the part of frazzled mom when we caught her out and about in New York, lugging her left-open purse and a pile of papers, complete with her shirt jammed right in her trousers. No wonder she didn't want to make eye contact!

Kate Beckinsale has revealed that she can't cope with the fact that she's famous (boo-hoo?) and is truly down-to-earth. Now unlike some celebs' claims to be "normal," Kate's explanation really sounds like she may indeed be herself when she's out of the spotlight!

"I'm in complete denial about being a celebrity. I spend 80 per cent of my time in my kitchen and occasionally I'm wheeled out to pretend to be Kate Beckinsale for awards shows. I'm not at nightclubs every night but I'll take my kid hiking and several paparazzi will show up and it's like, 'What? I'm not shaving my head in public. You need to leave me alone.'"

It looks like Kate had something to say about the paparazzi as well! There are no hard feelings, though, because Kate continued to say that "I deal with it and haven't become an a*shole because it occupies quite a small part of my life. I'm very good at not seeing people pointing and taking pictures; people I'm with are much more disturbed about it. I'm trying to work on becoming less polite." Less polite? Saffron Burrows: former fashion model and someone who has cheekbones that could cut through glass! Usually I'm the biggest fan of a-list stars and/or the super-weird, but perhaps today will be dedicated to a surprisingly gorgeous woman with impeccable style. For lack of a better word, she's a total looker! Saffron was snapped on her way back to the hotel after a press function in Manhattan. Those photogs sure were lucky. . .
