Blade star Wesley Snipes has been acquitted on all counts of tax fraud and conspiracy, but found guilty of failing to file tax returns in a Florida courtroom. Snipes who originally faced 16 years imprisonment still could get up to 3 years after the jury found him guilty of three misdemeanour counts of failing to file tax returns. His income over the period of time in which he failed to file amounted to millions of dollars. Speaking outside the courtroom, the 45-year-old actor told People: "I'm feeling great – a little confused, but great." Co-defendants Eddie Ray Kahn, the founder of a tax protest group, and Douglas Rosile, a de-licensed accountant, were convicted by the same jury of tax fraud and conspiracy.
