The 2008 BAFTA Awards

The winners of this years Orange British Academy Film Awards were announced last night, in a star studded red carpet affair. The glamorous event was held in London's Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, famed for it's elegant interior and renowned for its ballet and opera performances.
So who walked away proudly with one of those heavy gold awards? Well...
Atonement took home the award for Best Film, but sadly Keira Knightley lost out on Best Actress as Marion Cotillard won the judges attention for her role in La Vie en Rose. This Is England won Best British Film. Juno won Original Screenplay. Daniel Day Lewis won Best Actor for his acclaimed role in There Will Be Blood.
Tilda Swinton won Best Supporting Actress for her part in Michael Clayton. Respectively Javier Bardem won Best Supporting Actor for his part in No Country for Old Men. And beauty Sienna Miller also lost out on her dreams of the Rising Star Award to Shia Lebeouf.
