The UK Papers are swarming with pictures from the 2008 Brit Awards this morning. Spilling over with after party gossip and back stage chatter. I stayed in and watch the awards myself last night, and I can honestly say it wasn't the best in the history of the star studded event. But nethertheless, it still managed an interesting array of on stage antics.
Host Sharon Obsourne spent most of the time embarrassing herself, with outlandish rants and uncomfortable auto cue readings. She swore uncontrollably at one of Britian's most famed comics, Vic Reeves, while poor daughter Kelly watched on in shame. Rihanna on the other hand, lived up to the hype with her performance with the Klaxons. It was simple and well performed, but more importantly, it was in tune, unlike Mika's opening performance.
Take That walked away with two awards, Best British Single and Best British Live Act. Mark Ronson proudly took to the stage for his Best British Male Solo Artist award. While sadly Leona Lewis failed to win any hearts as she walked away with nothing (a huge echo of Lily Allen's let down last year). Kylie was an obvious choice as she scooped Best International Female Artist, before presenting Sir Paul McCartney with his Outstanding Contribution to Music award.
The overall highlights of the evening were Amy Winehouse's performance with Mark Ronson, a little awkward, but she did it all the same, and Paul McCartney's array of closing songs, where he lovingly made a tribute to his late wife Linda McCartney.
If you missed out on the music ceremony, take a peek at Splash's thumbnails, for a short cut to the following red carpet worthies: Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, Ashanti, Kate Nash, KT Tunstall, Alexia Chung, Fern Cotton, Kelly Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne, Leona Lewis, Michelle Ryan, James Blunt, Mika, Mark Ronson, Beth Ditto, Kelly Rowland.

Anne Hathaway really likes 'The Waverly Inn' visiting the restaurant 6-times in the last 3 months. Is the food that good or is she trying to get in good with Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter who owns the restaurant?
The eatery has a no reservation policy and if you just said "what's 'The Waverly Inn?'" you definetly aren't getting a table.
