Starlet Ashley Tisdale is enjoying her fame, the "High School Musical" actress managed to make an appearance at the offices of InStyle magazine in Santa Monica, accompanied by her manager. Later, "The Suite Life on Deck" actress was spotted with an armful of magazines, perhaps looking for some inspiration for her next public appearances?

Tisdale, pictured here in blue jeans, sandals and red patterned blouse, is due to appear in "High School Musical 3: Senior Year", which will be released on October 24, 2008. She will also be seen in "They Came from Upstairs", a film about aliens invading a teenager's vacation home in Maine, out in 2009.

Marion Hugh Knight Jr, also known as Suge Knight, has been arrested in Las Vegas after allegedly being found by police officers standing over his girlfriend and holding a knife. Officers were responding to a domestic violence call and took the music producer into custody. The Death Row records co-founder was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, possession of controlled substances and domestic violence. 

According to the police report, Knight was in possession of ecstasy and hydrocodone (a narcotic analgesic) and was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs without a prescription. Earlier this month, Knight was formerly accused of sending death threats to a prison inmate regarding a testimony over the death of rapper The Notorious B.I.G.

British comedian Steve Coogan, who has been enjoying success in the USA, stated in an interview that he secretly loved being a target for the paparazzi and missed people harassing him. The "Tropic Thunder" actor is in the USA promoting his new film, "Hamlet 2", and appeared on the Today Show. When talking about being photographed, he said "You know what, it's always a pain in the butt when people are harassing you - and then when they stop it's even worse".

Coogan, who has been famous in the UK for years due to his comedy shows and appeared in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" as a psychiatrist in 2007, is also expected to return as Octavius in "Night at the Museum 2: Escape From the Smithsonian". When asked on his opinion on the difference between British and American humor, the comedian said "I think Americans like laughing at people who are successful and don't like failure, whereas the British like to see failures and ugly people so they can feel better about people".

Britney Spears impersonator Derrick Barry performed a choreographed routine of "Baby One More Time" on "America's Got Talent", leaving the judges to make some outspoken comments about his impersonation of the pop princess. Positive comments were made by David Hasselhoff, who said "I'm questioning my sexuality", after watching Barry's toned figure and cleavage in action, while Sharon Osbourne said "I just love you - I love Britney. I think there's room for two Britneys".

However, British judge Piers Morgan was less positive, stating "I don't think, personally, that grown men should be wearing school girl outfits and pretending to be Britney Spears". But Barry was unrepentant, claiming that "Toxic" singer Britney Spears was his inspiration and defended his routine by saying "There may be people or critics that don't approve of what I do and they may not approve of her, but I'm here because she is so talented. Regardless of what Morgan thought, the audience certainly enjoyed watching Derrick Barry impersonate Spears.

Superstar actors and "Burn After Reading" co-stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney strolled up the red carpet at the 65th Venice Film Festival, much to the delight of the awaiting crowd. Both men seemed to be fully immersed in the positive atmosphere and looked relaxed (as well as incredibly well-tailored). Their new film enjoyed its premiere at the opening night of the world famous festival, the "Ocean's Eleven" duo were joined by Tilda Swinton looking glamorous in gold. The Venice Film Festival, which is the oldest film festival in the world, runs from August 27 until September 6, 2008.

Joining Pitt, Clooney and Swinton in "Burn After Reading" are Frances McDormand and John Malkovich. The film was written, produced and directed by the Coen brothers, who were behind such classic films as "Blood Simple", "Fargo" and "No Country For Old Men".

Television personality Rachael Ray was spotted going through fruits and vegetables with a trained eye for quality at the Farmer's Market in New York. The "Rachael's Vacation" star was happy to give advice to an audience member from her show about how to cook the produce she had paid for. The daytime Emmy award winner carried her purchases around in a large orange bag covered in flower prints.

Along with her television work and well-publicised endorsements, Rachael Ray has also been busy writing and has been the author of many culinary books, such as "30 Minute Meals", "$40 a Day: Best Eats in Town" and "Yum-O! The Family Cookbook". Ray has just celebrated her 40th birthday (August 25).
