Britney Spears showed up almost two hours late for her deposition with Kevin Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan and only sat for 15 minutes, barely enough time for Kaplan to probably get through the formalities of what the intent of the deposition was. The depo was supposed to go from 9:45am to 11:45am and I hear that the depo couldn't run late because Britney has custody of the kids today and she had to be home by noon. Kaplan held a press concert afterwards and said that he may seek sanctions against Britters. Good job Britney! Way to start the new year off right!

Another team of top-notch Tinseltown lawyers dumped impossible pop wreck Britney Spears yesterday, citing a breakdown in communication. The white-shoe law firm of Trope & Trope had been representing Spears in her complicated child-custody battle against ex-husband Kevin Federline. But in papers filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the firm's lawyers begged Commissioner Scott Gordon to set them free.
