Update: Eddie has released an official statement

"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. Eddie and Tracy were married during a spiritual ceremony on an island near Bora Bora on New Year's Day which wasn't legal but the couple had planned to make it official upon returning to the States, which hasn't happened, and Access Hollywood is reporting that the couple has split. Is Amy Winehouse's jailbird husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, thinking of divorcing the newly bleached blonde train wreck singer? Amy's father Mitch seems to think so.

'Blake threatened to issue divorce proceedings when they were having a row,' he says. Mitch, 57, reckons Blake wants to split because he's being encouraged by his mum Georgette Civil, 42, to cut Amy out of his life. 'Unfortunately, Blake is influenced by things his mother has said,' he tells Grazia. 'I think Georgette wants them to divorce, but it's up to them. 'From Amy's point of view, she would stick by him not matter what. But he has said things like, “I want a divorce”.'
