Now that Britney Spears' ma, Lynne, and pa, Jamie, have left the hospital along with her two gentleman callers, Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib, we all start our unsubstantiated speculation and rumor mongering. But first, Life & Style spoke with a Spears family insider and got the low down on what spurred the family to take action last night.

“Her family had two secret meetings with lawyers on Tuesday to figure out how to make this happen. “They’re afraid her body is shutting down. She hasn’t been eating for almost a week. She can’t sleep, even though she’s been taking sleeping pills. She stopped taking her medications because she thought they weren’t working.” Speaking of her body shutting down, Britney was photographed buying laxatives at a Rite Aid pharmacy in LA on Jan. 29. "Along with not sleeping, she hasn't been going to the bathroom. She's been peeing, she just hasn't been, you know, going to the bathroom," says the insider. As for what went down at Brit’s house this morning, “The shrink went to Britney's house. Brit thought it was for a session, but the doctor explained, ‘Honey, after 60 hours without sleep you can start to hallucinate. If you're out there driving under those conditions, you are a danger to other people on the road. You've got to go to the hospital for help.”

She can stuff her face full of laxatives and ADD drugs but she can't bring herself to take her bi-polar and anti-anxiety pills? Now we know what Britney's priorities are: sh*tting so she can can keep gorging on tacos and maximizing the amount of time she can be photographed by cutting out the need to sleep. People think she's crazy but it sounds like good business to me.

Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves' were not the only red carpet worthies fighting the wind at last nights premiere. Kate Hudson too felt more 'Cool Gold' than 'Fools Gold' as she fought the worst of the wind. The gorgeous actress, who is aging as well as her mother Goldie Hawn, chose to keep her coat on throughout the evening, in a bid to keep down the ruffles on her electric blue dress. A dejected looking Sam Lutfi arrived at the UCLA Medical Center to visit Britney, but to his dismay and most likely annoyance police wouldn't let him through the road block. Sam decided to drive around the building, before returning to try and get through again. But it wasn't as simple as that. Two police cars then tried to pull him over for something but he ignored them and carried on driving. Photographers then surrounded the car while the police pulled up next to him and had a chat. It was only then he was allowed past the road block. When asked by photographers if Britney was okay, he had nothing to say.
