Reese Witherspoon Gets Back Into The Swing Of Things

splashnews_spl12824_001.jpg
Reese Witherspoon wastes no time in getting back to her exercise routine after the Christmas period as Splash spot her jogging around the leafy streets of Brentwood. Judging by her intense look, I’m guessing the pint size actress doesn’t want any reasons for a repeat of last year’s Star-gate incident. Not that I'd imagine that anyone would print such nonsense, one, for want of being completely and utterly wrong and two, well let's just say that Reese kicks ass in court just like her Legally Blonde character. Plus why wait until January where all the sidewalks will be packed with desperate people trying to kick in their New Year's exercise routines, only to fail miserably after week two. Brad Pitt Visits New Orleans' Make It Right Site

splashnews_spl12795_001.jpg
While others are still at home trying to recover from the veritable feast that was Christmas, Brad Pitt takes time out from his busy schedule to make a pit stop to the Make it Right developers in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth. The Make it Right project currently in development stages is set to rebuild 150 new environmentally sustainable homes for residents who lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina. You have to hand it to Brad and Angelina, unlike many celebs who talk and do no action, this powerhouse couple really get into the muck of things by having a hands on approach to projects they get involved in. During an interview with MTV News, Pitt said he hopes to have construction under way by late spring or early summer, and to have families back and enjoying next year's holidays in brand new homes. You gotta love him! Pictures: London Entertainment / Splash News

George Lopez Does A Kramer

splashnews_spl5873_102.jpg
It seems that Michael Kramer may not be the only comedian with a penchant for racial slurs as reports circulate about comedian George Lopez at a recent L.A comedy show. According to a Mediatakeout.com reader, George apparently used the Spanish term “Mayate”, which translated means “black beetle” whilst having a rant about text messaging.
“George was going on about text alerts - then he said we have to send each other texts saying Mayate Alert, Mayate Alert. Anyway, Mayate means [The N Word] in Spanish. Some of the Mexicans were making sounds like - Whoa I can't believe he just said that. See some Black people think Negro or Nigerita means [The N Word] in Spanish. So, he thought the few black people there wouldn't catch it. He was also like f*ck 'em, they ain't here tonight - and if YOU are here - you're Dominican tonight damn it. Then he went on to promote the racial tensions (as if this needs instigating) in LA. He went on and ON about how Mexicans run L.A. and run the U.S. He also spoke about how young Mexican boys are dying on the front line in Iraq while the Whites are in the back partying (offensive to anyone of any race who has lost loved ones in Iraq). I can take a joke, but I am no longer friend with this Vato. So disappointed - I have love for the LAtinos too. I didn't get a chance to record it, but he's sold out at the Nokia Theater all this week performing up until New Years day.”
