According to recent reports, the father of Jamie Lynn's baby is NOT her boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Star magazine insists that Casey may not be the dad, and that Spears' friends think that it's an older man who could be facing statutory rape charges. Family members told Star that they believe the real father is an older exec at her children's TV show "Zoey 101." "Casey is being paid off to be the family's fall guy while the real father remains unidentified," Star magazine released. It is rather convenient that Casey could escape potential charges because a 16-year-old can legally have sex with someone less than two years older.  He just slips under the bar, and that wouldn't be the same case with the mystery executive. . . What celebrity do you think is most in need of a gift this year, and what would it be? After having presents on the brain, I think I'd like to get Britney Spears a ticket somewhere nice and relaxing-- but I have no idea where. She needs a break after the rigors of 2007: I'd suggest the country, but I'm not sure how much good that would do her, either. ;) What would you get for one lucky celeb? Spencer Pratt volunteered with the best of them in Los Angeles yesterday, where he did his best to serve food and help everyone out. If only he looked a little more friendly and a little less. . . blase? He may be my least favorite character on the Hills by far, but the effort was a nice touch for the holidays. :)

Jay-Z has announced his most recent retirement-- this time to make more music. His latest retirement is as the President of Def Jam records, after a year of successful releases from Def Jam including Kanye West's "Graduation" and Rihanna's "Good Girl Gone Bad." "It's time for me to take on new challenges," he said in a written statement. "I am pleased to have had the opportunity to build upon the Def Jam legacy, helping to move the company into a new era of artistic success." Insiders say that Jay-Z is stepping down from the label because his music career is taking off again, and they're probably right: if I was nominated for five Grammys, I'd feel like taking some time off, too.
