I am not surprised by this at all. I don't even know if I find it disgusting, maybe she should hear about it, it may have a positive effect on her(after all is she not a rebel?). She may simply say screw you lot and want to live.

Don't always look at the negative in situations like this, it can actually turn people towards the positive.
