Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has reportedly been issued with an arrest warrant from Japan. She was issued with the warrant as a result of her Save the Whales protest in the country, according to a celebrity TV show. The young actress was part of a group who tried to prevent the slaughter of a group of whales and dolphins by fishermen near Taiji in southwestern Japan. They were involved in a confrontation with local fishermen after they paddled on surfboards to try and reach the dolphins, but video footage of the dispute showed fishermen lashing out at the group of activists with a boat hook. Panettiere doesn't know what repercussions the arrest warrant would bring, but stressed she's not put off from doing it again. She said: "I'd do it again". The star also told celebrity website TMZ.com that she won't give up fighting to save the planet's animals, and that more people should be joining her crusade. Hayden said:

"Obviously this issue has generated defensive behaviour on the part of both the Japanese authorities and fishermen. I have grown up hearing - and adhearing to - this phrase: 'condemnation without investigation dooms one to everlasting ignorance.' We must unite as a world to solve our increasing international environmental crises. We can no longer hide behind out-dated, senseless cultural traditions and lazy, bad habits that are resulting in the annihilation of our planet's resources and the extinction of species."

Jessica Simpson looked pretty swish yesterday as she was spotted in a fitted black jacket and knee high boots while leaving Dos Caminos after lunch. Earlier in the day she had done an equally swish job of hosting The View. After lunch she arrived back at her hotel carrying her Apple laptop computer. Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has sent a message of love to her hubby in prison via a TV show. Blake Fielder Civil is currently in custody at London's Pentonville Prison after being charged with perverting the course of justice and inflicting grievous bodily harm. Amy's brother Alex Winehouse appeared on the morning show GMTV and was asked by his little sister to pass a message on. He said: "She has a love for Blake. She said she wanted me to say that because he is watching so Amy loves you Blake." Amy has been back in the headlines after being booed off stage at a gig in Birmingham following a shambolic performance. But Alex insisted that Amy was more in control than people give her credit for. The actor admitted Amy has suffered with an eating disorder and drug addiction but says she has an ability to give things up when she wants to. He said:

"A lot of what's written in the papers isn't necessarily what's happening. She is more in control than what people and the media give her credit for. I know with Amy she does still have self control and a voice in the back of her head saying calm down. When she was smoking too much marijuana she just said one day 'that's it I'm not going to do that again' and stopped. We know she does have that ability to say no".

Alex says he has tried to help his troubled sister but says like any little sister she is unlikely to listen to her big brother. He said: "She's my sister. She wouldn't listen to me. It just ends up in an argument. She's naturally not going to listen to her brother and probably end up doing the opposite."
