Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and her fiance Chris Ivery pulled a fast one on Friday, getting married in a secret ceremony held at New York's City Hall. These pictures were taken on Sunday, two days after the couple were wed and Ellen did her best to hide her wedding ring.

The pair — who got engaged a year ago — wed Friday at 11:30 a.m. in a brief ceremony at New York's City Hall, where Mayor Michael Bloomberg — a Massachusetts native like Pompeo, 38 — served as their witness, a Bloomberg rep tells Usmagazine.com.

I really hope this is becoming a Hollywood trend. I am so tired of getting woken up at 3AM on a Sunday morning or the weeks that go into planning a stakeout of some huge celebrity wedding. Please, pull a Matt Damon and go to the court house, I can really use the sleep.
