Katharine McPhee not only looked beautiful in her white dress at the National Women's Conference in Long Beach, California, but she received a standing ovation at the end. Considering that the crowd included First Lady of California Maria Shriver and former Prime Minister Tony Blair, that's a big achievement! American Idol may get some flak, but it does produce some great artists, McPhee included.

But the question is, do you want to see her back on the show? When Sharon revealed on The Paul O'Grady Show that she wanted to go back, I was torn. I quite like her, but I do have a few misgivings about someone who had a temper tantrum whilst filming and leaves just because her acts happen to suck in a big way. Are you with me on this one? I'm fascinated by the sweater that Carrie Underwood had on when she performed today on Good Morning America. It just draws my eyes straight towards. . . that area that I really shouldn't be looking at. The boots are hot, though!

I wish that some celebrity photos could be taken in a nicer environment, but when you're documenting celebs' lives, not everything's caviar and champagne--not even in the case of Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. No matter how many times I call J Lo a diva, I couldn't help but feel for Jennifer when I saw the two going to her grandmother's memorial service in the Bronx. Marc and Jennifer had a bodyguard with them to and from the service, but with few members of the press covering their attendance, it looks like it wasn't particularly necessary this time.
