Britney Spears emerged from court looking positively distressed following her on going custody battle with Kevin Federline. During the court hearing a visibly upset Spears took three bathroom breaks to put her hair up, then down before changing her sunglasses twice. Commissioner Scott L. Gordon made no ruling regarding the custody arrangement of their sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1 and both parents left the court not knowing what the future held for the custody of their boys. Outside the court K-Fed's lawyer Mark Kaplan revealed that the court would release a written ruling on Monday or Tuesday.

"The court heard many exparte motions and a continued order to modify custody. I do believe the order that the court will issue on Monday will be modified by the various expartes. I am not going to speculate what that order may be."

Kaplan also went on to reveal that despite a ruling not being made Kevin Federline still has temporary custody of the kids. Britney who was clearly in no mood for talking was reported to have told a Us magazine reporter: "Eat it, lick it, snort it, f**k it!" during a break in court before headily leaving the courthouse in her pumpkin clad Mercedes and almost crashing into a bus. I totally understand that Britney is upset with this whole situation, who wouldn't, but acting irrational in public - swearing at reporters, driving nuts really is not gonna help her get full custody of the boys. I never thought I'd say this, but at this present time Britney really needs to take a leaf out of Kevin Federline's books - yeah I know! He shows up to every court appearance dressed in formal attire, is not seen by the media speculating on the matter, does not bring anymore (it's not like they need it) attention to himself - ie no swearing at the media, driving nuts in a car ready for Halloween, and generally nothing that is gonna prevent him from seeing his kids.
