Nicole Richie will serve her jail time in the newest celebrity hotspot, The Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, the same correctional facility that housed bff Paris Hilton. Richie will be doing considerably less time than Paris, only 90 hours, and due to her pregnancy will most likely do her time in the jail’s medical unit.

Two graduate students from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), James Graham and Thaddeus Jusczyk, have created a 'Crowd Farm' prototype that could one day harness energy created by human movement in busy places. Basically it will turn the energy of people walking or jumping into a source of electricity. Think about how much energy the paparazzi could generate as they bum rush celebrities coming out of tanning salons and Starbucks?! The stores on Robertson Blvd could install these to harness all the energy from the paps jostling for position outside and power their lights, computers, and air conditioning. We at Splash are down for doing our part to save the environment - one of our paps got our first hybrid yesterday.

Lauren Conrad partied at Les Deux last night amid rumors that tensions between her and her "Hills" costar Heidi Montag have gotten so bad that two can't be in the same room together.

"Lauren and Heidi refused to even be in the same room as each other," said a Hollywood insider. "They hate each other so much. In the photos on MTV's site for the third season, they had to Photoshop Heidi in because they wouldn't even take a picture together."
