Nobu attracted its usual group of celebs when James Van Der Beek, Courteney Cox Arquette, architect Frank Gehry, Shanna Moakler, Travis Barker, and David Katzenberg all showed up for dinner last night (not together, though). Courtney managed to sneak in as husband David shielded her from the cameras on her way indoors, but Frank had quite a different take on the whole thing—he was just amazed to be recognized! Hayden Panettiere spent the day shopping yesterday at LA's Grove Shopping Center, where she scooped up a bunch of goodies at Abercrombie and Fitch. I do wish that she had chosen somewhere a little more inspiring, but even I guess even Hayden P. needs to stock up on the basics. The actress slipped by shoppers unnoticed (except to us, that is), thanks to a pair of dark shades and a gaggle of similar looking friends.
