Justin Timberlake Bringing Southern Hospitality Back
11:05 Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Justin Timberlake is bringing some Southern Hospitality to New York City. The Tennessee-born star is opening a Memphis-style restaurant in Manhattan with pals Eytan Sugarman and Trace Ayala. The Upper East Side eatery's menu reportedly includes a string of dishes taken from Timberlake family recipes (is he related to the Colonel?)
This isn't JT's first restaurant venture, he opened 'Chi' on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles but didn't former flame Britney Spears try this in NYC with NOLA or something like that and fail? I'm not saying that Justin's new joint will not succeed but does New York need another Southern food restaurant?
What do you guys think?
I find it laughable that stars are opening restaurants. They know squat about it and it's just their name being used by the real owner/operators.
I don't go to restaurants, buy clothes, buy perfume or anything else just because it's got a "star" name attached to it.
don't forget marla maples failed venture named 'peaches'...
"NYLA"...New York, Louisiana
A] As if upper eastsiders are gonna eat here - haha!
B] N.Y is to sophisticated for this crap - open it in alabama or somewhere similar.
C] I hate J.T - OVERRATED! & not attractive - if he worked in Taco Bell you wouldn't give him a 2nd look!
all kidding aside, he's good
The place's designer is Roy nachum!
Just ate there tonight. Not bad at all. Here's the menu, in case you wanna check it out:

I had the Memphis Spare Ribs
What can this guy not do??...I love him...he's soooo sexy...and his favorite dish is also my favorite dish (seeing that we're both from the south)..Pulled Pork...
...and West coastian---you should get your facts straight before you categorize Mr. Timberlake along w/ other mindless celebs who don't know jack about how to run a business---Justin has been eating and preparing southern food his whole life and, actually, alot of the menu is from his and his family's recipes---so I would consider that Justin knows more than "squat" about the food he is serving in his restaurant....
