K-Fed is reportedly "taking meetings" (read: relentlessly calling, mailing demo tapes, and picking through their garbage) with KIIS FM here in Los Angeles, home of American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and Us Weekly cites an inside source that says the meetings were informal but "he really wants to be on radio. He's made that clear." Not only does Kevin Federline have no discernible talent but his entire vocabulary is made up of "Naw means?," "Ya heard!" "Yo!," "Ya feel me?," and "B*tch." That is going to make for some extremely entertaining radio, thank God I have XM.

Britney Spears engaged in a "slapfest" with her mother Lynne after a fight about her kids, according to US reports. Sources say the pair allegedly came to blows following a blistering argument about Lynne's grandchildren. She reportedly wanted to take Britney's two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James out for the day, but troubled chart star Spears blocked her before they began to fight in the Hollywood mansion. An insider said: "Lynne barged into the house and insisted on taking the kids out to spend some private time with them. She didn't ask or suggest, she demanded. Then she began denigrating Britney's mothering skills and losing her temper at the same time" "Lynne turned to Britney and slapped her hard across the face. It left Lynne shaken and Britney more determined than ever to cut her mother out of her life for good." US magazine Star reported: "In mid-June the duo engaged in a shocking slapfest." The incident, said to have taken place on June 15, left Lynne shaken, it is reported. But the 52-year-old is nevertheless desperate to help her daughter who she fears is suffering from depression. The source added: "Despite their problems, Lynne cares deeply for Britney and wants to find a way to help her. She thinks antidepressant drugs may be the answer. Lynne feels Britney has severe depression issues, and they are in large part the cause of her apparent manic behaviour and past problems with alcohol." It comes amid reports that Spears, 25, has hired a new manager - herself. According to a US newspaper the chart star wants to take control of her career and plans to look after her own publicity from now on.

Alba is in Paris to promote her new film 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer' and happily signed autographs yesterday as she was greeted by crowds as she left her hotel.

Lindsay Lohan's DJ pal Samantha Ronson is suing bloggers who claim she planted drugs in her friend's car and tipped off the paparazzi. Perez Hilton and the Sunset Photo Agency, which owns celebritybabylon.com, are targets of a 20 million dollar libel after they claimed Ronson sold out her friend in a sting operation. According to legal papers Mario Lavandeira, who blogs as Perez Hilton, went around wearing a sweater with the logo "Blame Samantha" after the Hollywood star was photographed slumped in a car after a wild night out. He also called the DJ "toxic" in one of his on-line posts and claimed cocaine found in Lohan's car following a Beverly Hills crash belonged to Ronson.
