NASA astronauts were allowed to blast-off into space while drunk on two occasions, according to a startling new report. Flight surgeons and other astronauts warned space bosses that the boozy crew members posed a safety risk, but they were still allowed to launch. The revelations came after authorities probed the behaviour of NASA fliers in the wake of lovesick astronaut Lisa Novak's arrest in February. Nowak was arrested in Orlando, Florida, on February 5 and charged with trying to kidnap U.S Air Force Captain Colleen Shipman. It is not clear how drunk the astronauts were but the panel will report 'heavy use of alcohol' in the 12-hours before blastoff, Aviation Week reports. If Lindsay Lohan can't get back into acting after her latest DUI then she can always try signing up for NASA. TMZ.com has reportedly interviewed all three of the men who were in the car with Lindsay when she chased her assistants mother. It's believed that the where all partying at Lindsay's house. When Lindsay's assistant got in to an arguement with her boyfriend Lohan got involved, resulting in her assistant quitting. As the they all went to leave, they boys waited in the car, while the assistant and the boyfriend continued arguing. Then as her assistant finally drove off Lindsay then suddenly jumped into the other car with the three boy and drove off. Dante, one of the boys in the car told TMZ.com that "he tried to grab the wheel, prompting Lindsay to say, "If you touch me I'll sue you."." They say Lindsay caught up with the assistant and began doing circles on PCH, around the assistant's car. So where did her mother come into it? Well, "Dante says Lindsay thought the assistant was going to her mother's house in Santa Monica so Lindsay went there. It just so happened that the assistant's mother was pulling into the driveway as Lindsay arrived, the mother panicked at Lindsay's crazy driving, and backed out of the driveway in fear -- not knowing who was behind the wheel. They then began to chase her at speeds of up to 80 MPH through Santa Monica, blowing multiple red lights" Dante further adds that it seemed as if Lindsay told officers when they eventually ended up at the polic station that, "I wasn't driving. The black kid was driving." They say they saw Lindsay flunk the field sobriety test, and when she tried touching her nose, she almost fell over. Really this is just like an episode of the O.C!

Nicole Richie has been sentenced to four days in prison for a drink driving offence - despite claims she is pregnant. The reality TV star is strongly believed to be having a baby with Good Charlotte rocker boyfriend Joel Madden. But that has not stopped her becoming the latest celebrity bad girl to run foul of the law in Los Angeles. Nicole had been due to go to trial in August, a case suspended because her lawyer was due to go away on holiday, but Richie decided to bring forward the legal hearings in front of Commissioner Steven K. Lubell and pleaded guilty to a Driving Under the Influence of Drugs charge. The star walked into the Glendale courthouse shortly before 8.30am, wearing a black dress and sunglasses, and arm in arm with Madden. The judge gave Richie until September 28 to serve her 96-hour prison sentence in a county or city jail. She was also told that she must enrole in a drug or alcohol rehab programme, and must submit proof she has completed that by February 20 2009. Richie was also placed on probation for three-years, and told she was not allowed to drive with any amount of alcohol or drugs in her system. Richie left the court without comment. Her dad, Lionel Richie was not there for the hearing.

This is the 911 emergency call that police say alerted them to a car chase involving Lindsay Lohan. On the tape a woman - believed to be Michelle Peck - is heard frantically telling officers that she is being followed by a white GMC Denali SUV But you have to note that she kept saying 'man' throughout the call. So this does make you have to conclude that at the time she did not know 'who' she was being followed by until the time of the arrest. And the line "The gentlemen came out of his car" makes you wonder if it was Lindsay driving the car? This officer deserves an award in my opinion! I could not have lasted listening to this high pitched sqwarking woman, the phone would have gone down after 5 seconds. .
