Reformed *cough cough* Paris Hilton is on the move and looking for more privacy. The heiress wants to buy a new secluded home, where she can be away from prying eyes, according to reports. Hilton has set her heart on a mansion in a gated community or one with a long gated driveway, her aunt, Kyle Richards, told the Wall Street Journal. So Hilton has put her luxury Hollywood Hills home, which is regularly swarmed by photographers, on the market for $4.25m. The 3,000sq ft Spanish-style home was the focus of intense coverage last month when Hilton was jailed for 23-days in Los Angeles. The massive media crush at the house reportedly annoyed neighbours, and forced the city to re-zone the street as a no-stopping zone. So I doubt that anyone local will want another high profile starlet taking over the home again.

This is the man arrested in connection with a plot to extort more than £500,000 ($1m) from Tom Cruise. David Hans Schmidt, 47, was arrested last night for allegedly trying to sell the Hollywood actor a collection of private pictures from his 2006 wedding to actress Katie Holmes. Schmidt, who has previously been dubbed the "Sultan of Sleaze" for his role in the distribution of celebrity sex tapes, is being held in a federal detention centre in Los Angeles. Schmidt has been known to contact celebrities like Paris Hilton and Colin Farrell in advance of going publicly with the often compromising photos or videos, to see if the celebrities themselves want to purchase back the explicit material and save embarrassment.
