Bling!

splashnews_gwny270707d_01.jpg

Ever wondered what $205 million USD in cold, hard cash looks like? US authorities seized this huge stash - thought to be the biggest of its kind in the world - in Mexico. The money, in $100 bill denominations, was found hidden behind walls and in cupboards of a luxurious mansion owned by a Chinese pharmaceutical tycoon accused of making millions by trading in massive quantities of a chemical used to make methamphetamine. The only other way to see this much moolah is to pop round to JK Rowling's house!

Big Brother T&A

splashnews_ajuk270707p_004.jpg

This Friday's T&A comes from the delightfully orange Amy, a 21 year old glamour model who just entered the UK's Big Brother House tonight. Amy is not your usual Glamour model - she is tee-total and cites one of her idols as Oscar Wilde. Good Luck in there Amy, as a non-drinker I think you are going to need it.

Vick gets a Kick from Nike and Reebok

splashnews_alla230707a_0091.jpg

Nike has stopped selling NFL footballer Michael Vick products following pressure from petitions and protests organised by PETA outside Niketown stores across the country. Michael Vick has been charged with horrific allegations of involvement with dogfighting rings. Nike has released the following statement:
"Nike has suspended Michael Vick's contract without pay, and will not sell any more Michael Vick product at Nike-owned retail at this time."
Following in Nike's footsteps (arf!) Reebok has also made the decision to stop sales of Michael Vick apparel, stating:
"While we respect the legal process we find the allegations against Mr. Vick too disturbing to ignore, therefore, we have decided to immediately suspend selling Vick NFL product, both at retail and online through the Reebok website."
PETA's director Daphna Nachminovitch in a statement said "Americans love football, but they love dogs more and want nothing to do with wearing a name that's become synonymous with cruelty to animals, we commend Nike for this decision. This is a victory for all dogs beaten and killed in illegal dogfighting rings around the country." May we suggest PETA consider their next project to be rich starlets who buy puppies like us mere mortals buy Pinkberry?!

Celebrity Fashion Faux Pas

splashnews_tjc270707a_01.jpg
Sean Stewart, son of The Rod commits a horrific fashion crime of wearing a dodgy ensemble of striped shorts and check shirt whilst hanging out in Malibu, CA today. I could let the mixing stripes with check slide if he wasn't giving us such an eyeful of his nether regions - you ain't Britney Spears love! Pull them up. Pictures by Toby Canham.

Rumer Has it. . .

splashnews_afla190607a_035.jpg
Bruce Willis's daughter Rumer was caught up in a drug bust when police allegedly raided a hotel room she was in! What is happening in Hollywood? But the Hollywood starlet was not arrested, Access Hollywood reported, only one of Rumer's three companions was arrested for marijuana possession. But seriously is this how it all starts? Rumer please don't become a starlet cliche like Lindsay and Paris!
