Paris swaps jumpsuit for ankle bracelet!

Officials are now insisting the 26-year-old starlet was freed in part because of a mystery illness (one that they are banned by law from revealing) and that her sentence has not been ended but "reassigned" after she agreed to wear an electronic tag and be under house arrest for 40 days. If she breaks her house arrest the sentence will automatically be bumped up to at least 90 days. Ironically, her freedom could lose Paris millions as she had been shopping plans to write a tell-all on her time in jail.
L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokesman Deputy Steve Whitmore insisted such a move was "certainly not unprecedented." He insisted that the "medical situation" played a part in the deal that was reached with her legal team Wednesday. Splash saw her doctor arrive Tuesday at the jail so he must have been called to see her when she fell sick. Asked if Paris had merely "played you like puppets on a string," deputy Whitmore admitted: "Certainly I understand that. With extensive consultation with medical personnel it was decided that this reassignment was the right thing to do, and we did it."
However, the move has sparked outrage in America, claiming it created a terrible example for youngsters. Leading U.S. legal analyst Susan Filan said: "It makes a mockery of the legal system."
Paris arrived in jail Sunday night, and spent the whole of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in jail before leaving in the early hours of Thursday. But officials admitted they were treating it as five days of her sentence - counting the few hours of Sunday and Thursday as full days.
Chris, slight typo. "...and spent the whole of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in jail before leaving in the early hours of Friday." I'm sure you meant to write that she left in the early hours of THURSDAY.
Look - I am not saying we hang her, but little primadona trust-fund babies need to learn than the world has consequences. We are not only doing them a disservice, but every American that pays taxes and relies on the justice system has just been beaten down by the LA judicial system.
I will reserve my rant for my blog http://collegecandy.com/buzz/3282
I am sure they are excited about the new Hilton Municipal Recreation Center that her Mommy and Daddy will be building for LA in 5 months, but overcrowding??? SHE HAD A PRIVATE CELL FOR F*&^SAKE! Was it too small for her and her liver?
I know I am only 19, but this can't be justice?!
You gotta be kidding me. Mystery illness? What herpes? Were they afraid she would start an epidemic with her crabs. I mean what? I want to know what damn illness is that serious that she gets to get out jail because of it! I hate this whore even more now! This situation is sick.
Wonder what mystery illness she has. And why is it banned from being told?? Sounds suspicious to me. Wonder what BS is going on here. Since its that Parasite she got out without a care. Wonder if the same would have happen if it was just a regular person with a minimal wage.
If it's so serious, why isn't she in the hospital, or being seen by a doctor? This is horse shit.
is the medical disease she has HIV?
exactly S-a-P...if it's that serious why is she home, poolside instead of in a hospital!?!??! total load of shit that this bitch gets out of jail due to crotch rot
What a concept!
Rub Vagisil Creme all over a prison door and voilà !
It magically opens!
Biach :D
She seemed healthy at the MTV awards on the night she went into the pokey. Hmmm...
Someone should try to appeal this motion. I thought she said she wanted to do this right and set an example for all of her fans. What kind of example is she setting? Getting special treatment because of her celebrity and bank account? She just needs to go away for good. The best thing we could do is pay no attention to her. If the media ignores her, that would be the worst punishment she could ever get!
Mystery illness? I vote "withdrawal" ;)
...although, it's possible that she might have some kind of anxiety disorder (or maybe she's claustrophobic?) that would make house arrest just plain *easier* on the authorities, so they don't have to deal with her crap.
