Brad Pitt was the Pied Piper of Manhattan today as he gave his gorgeous son Maddox a piggyback ride to the Mars 2112 arcade and restaurant in Times Square. The huge number of photographers taking pictures of them caused a chaotic scene in the middle of Times Square but Brad kept his humour about him - grinning and poking out his tongue at snappers occasionally. Once inside, Brad greeted some of the people waiting in line, gesturing for them to go inside first and acted just like a regular Joe, taking the back of the line with his son as they waited to go inside the $2 admission room. Pretty cool considering Brad could have thrown down his Black Amex and brought that joint up. At least that's what I would have done cause I am flash like that.

I just got an email from PETA detailing their planned protest Sunday against Los Angles soccer team The Galaxy, David Beckham's new team, and their president Alexi Lalas over some kangaroos. Apparently Adidas makes shoes out of kangaroos and Lalas feels that his team is at a disadvantage because the state of California bans the sale, import, and use of kangaroo hides, meaning that the Galaxy cannot wear their 'roo shoes.

The prime movers behind the bill are Lalas-who has lobbied the legislature complaining that his players are at a disadvantage because shoes made from kangaroo skins aren't available in California-and athletic shoe giant Adidas, which has reportedly spent more than $435,000 lobbying the California legislature.

My first thought was, "they make f*cking shoes out of kangaroos?" Followed by, "what the hell kind of advantage do 'roo shoes give you? A little extra spring in your step? Seriously, they're f*cking shoes, not steroids." If you want to join Peta in their protest to save the 'roos, you can head down to The Home Depot Center, the Galaxy's home field, in Carson, CA which is at E. 184th Street and Avalon Boulevard on Sunday, June 17th at 3:30 p.m. or if you like, you can join me as I hop on PETA's bandwagon by drinking beer in the parking lot and throwing orange slices at the stadium because I absolutely hate soccer and everything it stands for.
