There was a slight case of confusion when I saw these photo's of David Duchovny swapping his usual Eco-friendly Hybrid car for a battered old Porsche with only one headlight. I thought WTF, how did he pull a hot chick in that old banger. But explanation came swooping down and it all made sense. David was filming a scene with actress Michele Nordin for a pilot episode of a new TV show 'Californication'. It's his latest TV show which casts him as a struggling writer with a penchant for the ladies. In this scene a smoking Duchovny pulls up to a traffic light in his worn out Porsche and manages to bag a blonde's phone number sent over by paper aeroplane. More pics after the jump

Katharine McPhee performed at the Mandalay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for the the Vegas Magazine 4th Anniversary Party. Katharine is appearing on the cover of the July issue of the magazine and true to her form showed off her legs while walking the blue carpet. I honestly have never heard McPhee sing and not entirely sure she has released an album but to be totally selfish I kind of hope it stays that because if she gets too famous she'll stop stripping off for lad mags and start dressing conservatively on the red carpet.
