Paris Hilton has spoken out from behind her iron bars, according to one of America's best known reporters Barbara Waters! In her first interview from jail Paris said she was "severely depressed" and she called jail a "horrible experience" but added she would now "like to make a difference." Paris had been sent home over medical problems but has been housed at a special unit for medical and psychiatric examination since being sent back in. According to US network ABC, she said of her first stint in jail: "I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. It was a horrible experience." Erm? Hate to break it to you Paris, it's meant to be! It's jail! She added further: "I used to act dumb, that act is no longer cute. Now, I would like to make a difference, God has given me this new chance." The interview reportedly came when Paris' mother Kathy Hilton was speaking to Walters as she phoned on another line her from jail. When told Walters was on the other line, Paris said she'd like to talk to the reporter herself and they then had a conversation.

this is what ms paris say "she use to act dum". does that make sense -- so is she saying that she was never dum - it was all an act - got to be kiddin - she sound dum just buy saying that - silly trustfund brat

oh my gosh is she so naive that she thinks we all will love her once her time is up? like she said herself, she used to act dum.. well you are Paris, very much so and that is who you always will be. DUM.

Please don't tell me Kathy Hilton will be the next host of the View.

She's a polarizing figure,outspoken and connected. Those are the req. that the view is looking for now. After Rosie,they can't go back to the old formula. They need a woman who has celebrity friends and controversial points of view.

FREE PARIS! She's young probably acted dumb. But most young peeps r that way. It's cool at times to them. Leave her alone. She's spoiled so what..Bet you wish you were her. She'll grow up and learn. Everone deserves a chance to change.

Besides she hasn't done worst things thand the politicians.
