Popular chat show host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey had told staff at her "O, The Oprah Magazine" company that she is sick of appearing on the cover, according to reports made by a source to the New York Post's Page Six gossip column. Since the inception of the magazine in 2000, Oprah had graced the cover of every monthly issue. However, the 54 year old may well be bored of being a cover girl and wants the editors to come up with some fresh ideas for the publication.
A spokesperson for "O" magazine said: "Oprah Winfrey has appeared on the cover of O... since its launch in 2000, and she will continue to do so. In fact, shoots for three upcoming covers will take place in early September". Oprah appeared in the films "The Color Purple", "Beloved" and "Throw Momma From The Train" and is arguably the most influential woman in the world according to the American Spectator magazine.

A new ad campaign being created by Microsoft will involve Jerry Seinfeld, at a cost of $10 million in payment for the comic actor! However, as the budget for the entire campaign is believed to be $300 million, then Seinfeld is only a very small part of it. The commercials, which will feature the comedian along with Bill Gates, are expected to debut on September 4, according to the Wall Street Journal. The ad campaign is believed to be aimed at denting Apple's popular marketing campaigns which have made Apple appear "cooler" than PCs and Microsoft in the public mind.
Seinfeld, who made a fortune from the comedy show "Seinfeld", has been relatively quiet in recent years, apart from providing his voice for "Bee Movie" and turning up on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "30 Rock". But when Bill Gates comes calling with a big, fat check, it seems not even mega-rich Seinfeld can say no.
In our gallery, Jerry Seinfeld is pictured throwing the first pitch at the start of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League playoff game between the Hampton Whalers and the Peekskill Robins (Sag Harbor, NY).

Catherine Zeta-Jones has been back to her hometown, Swansea in Wales, to attend the funeral of her beloved paternal grandmother, who was called Zeta Jones. The "Chicago" star, who is married to Michael Douglas, was named after her grandmothers, Katherine Fair and Zeta Jones. She remained close to her grandmother, even after she became one of Hollywood's most celebrated actresses. Zeta Jones, who was named after a merchant ship, died at the age of 91.
Zeta-Jones looked somber as the funeral cortege set off from her grandmother's house in Ravenhill to St Peter's church in Swansea. Zeta-Jones, who is also famous for her role in the "Zorro" films with Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas, is working on several films for release in 2009, including "The Rebound" and possibly "Racing the Monsoon" (still just a rumor).
